With more than 30 years of engine building experience, the team of highly skilled engineers at Specialist Components have been building unrivalled engines for the Mini. Ranging from a 60hp A series refresh to full race 250+hp Rotrex powered Twinkam engines. All of our engines are built to the highest possible standard no matter what the spec, built for reliability and strength.
The S-pack supercharged engine is the newest development we offer. It is a revolutionary supercharger setup that allows the fuel to be injected after the charger so that it can be accurately tuned. The development is based on the later MPI type engine block and cylinder head. Thus utilising the raised alternator and re located oil filter. That meaning we have successfully packaged the engine so that it requires no body modifications. All of our engines are built to suit each individual and their needs.
Our S-pack engines are built to 2 main specs, a 145hp SW5 spec and a 180hp SW10 spec. Both consist mainly of:
SC Supersport 36*31 cylinder head adapted to suit supercharging
Block acid dipped, rebored (1293cc), surfaced etc
New Omega pistons (die cast or forged)
Conrods rebuilt with ARP or SC steel rods
New VP2 bearings and thrusts
ARP headbolts
SC Tough crank
SW5 or SW10 billet camshaft kit
1.4 Forged rocker assembly
SC or Wide tooth helical gearset
All gearbox casings blasted and painted
X-pin diff or Quaife diff
Billet S-pack timing cover kit
SC Throttle body management kit
Rotrex C15 supercharger
Mocal oil cooler inc charger fluid and reservior
Alternator kit
K&N air filter
